Wahoo! We made it to the beach! The drive on Friday wasn't soooo bad. We've been in worse traffic on other trips. We actually drove most of Friday and stayed overnight in Suffolk. Met up with two of my step-brothers and their families, so that was cool, then we all drove the rest of the way on Friday morning and met at Awful Arthur's for lunch. Course, then we waited forever to get into the house.
The house is really nice too! Typically they are furnished with the cheapo wicker furniture and such (as they have been the last few years), but this one has great hardwood floors, nice cushy couches and chairs, nice accents, etc. We lucked out and got a room on the 3rd floor, well away from all the babies that wake in the night. Whomever came up with "sleep like a baby" was a loon! Our kids are on the first floor, so far away, which they are enjoying. Given their ages, not a big deal.
The weather is lovely today, although it rained a lot yesterday. On the plus side, we got to see a rainbow over the ocean, which was totally cool.
Oh! I got "Digital Copyright" finished yesterday too, so one book left to complete before tackling the paper. Hard to do when here though. At least I'm the only one awake, so trying to get school stuff in.
